Participants will define dating abuse and identify harmful behaviors in teen dating relationships. Explore the impacts of dating abuse on teens experiencing and cause abuse in their dating relationships. Discuss best practices for supporting young people when experiencing or cause abuse in their dating relationships.

Identify the different places we learn about dating and relationships, including media, stereotypes, and people around us. Discuss how stereotypes form relationship expectations and influence unsafe behaviors in relationships. Understand the role technology plays in dating relationships and how to establish healthy boundaries. Participants will identify strategies to encourage healthy relationship skills and relationships.

Participants will learn tips and activities to use with their kids/teens at home to encourage healthy communication, boundary setting, and building healthy relationship skills. Participants will define healthy relationships and identify healthy relationship behaviors.
